Dhafra Festival

LEVEL delivered technical production for Al Dhafra Festival in 2018.

Al Dhafra is one of the Gulf's major heritage events, held in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi and organised by the emirate's heritage authority. Its programme is built around camel mazayna — beauty contests judged on breed, physical characteristics and pedigree — alongside falconry, Arabian horse and saluki competitions and a traditional souq.

The site sits well outside the city, away from permanent infrastructure, so self-sufficiency defines the job: power, structure and crew all arrive with the production. LEVEL supplied audio sized for open-air coverage, lighting for the competition and public areas, and the staging and rigging to carry them — all specified for desert conditions, where temperature, dust and wind loading all factor in.
